What Happened on the Day
The day started with a meet and greet session and then it was into the training room to learn some interesting facts about motorcycles.
During the training session the students were given a presentation about moped safety and what to do and what not to do. They watched a DVD called First Date. This is an excellent DVD produced locally in Preston and relates young people with motorcycle riding and a first date. The DVD is produced as part of the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety incentive RidesafeBacksafe.
Then it was off to test some helmets with the very popular helmet smash! This demonstrates just how strong a helmet is. See pictures
This was followed by Lunch and then it was time for the students to learn about the basic controls of a motorcycle on our rolling road. This activity proved very popular for new and old riders. This activity was the summary of the day and had given them an insight into what activities we offer.
